Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 26, 2026
Hexbrief helps engineers keep up with high-signal company engineering blogs by turning selected posts into six daily structured briefs and linking back to the original articles.
Information We Collect
Hexbrief does not require an account.
The app may store the following information on your device:
- Saved articles
- App preferences
- Daily reading history used to avoid showing the same daily reads too often
The app may record aggregate article activity in our backend, such as article views, saves, and shares. These counters help us improve content selection and are not linked to a named user account.
Information We Do Not Collect
Hexbrief does not intentionally collect your name, phone number, precise location, payment information, advertising identifiers, contacts, photos, or files from your device.
Hexbrief does not include advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs in the current app release.
How We Use Information
- Show high-signal engineering reads and structured briefs
- Let you save articles locally
- Improve article ranking and content quality
- Debug app behavior
Third-Party Services
Hexbrief uses Supabase to store article data and aggregate article counters. Hexbrief is built with Expo and distributed through the Google Play Store.
When you tap "Read Full", the app opens the original publisher website. That website is controlled by the publisher and is governed by the publisher's own privacy policy.
Data Storage
Saved articles and preferences are stored locally on your device. You can remove local app data by clearing app storage or uninstalling the app.
Children's Privacy
Hexbrief is intended for software engineers and technical readers. It is not directed to children under 13.
Changes To This Policy
We may update this privacy policy as the app changes. If we make meaningful changes, we will update the "Last updated" date.
